A nice conversation with Chris from Germany (via...
You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Stranger: Disconnect if you want to flirt. Otherwise: Hi =)
You: hi there
You: i want do the flirt stuff
You: trust me
Stranger: Want or won't?
Stranger: ^^ great
You: sorry. my bad.
Stranger: No problem
You: what brings you here?
Stranger: I put that phraze in my Clippings add-on, I'm tired of that "asl? - *disconnect*" chat partners^^
You: good idea. i should try it later
Stranger: Well, I'm just here as nobody of my friends is currently on anywhere and as I had some cool chats the day before yesterday I wanted to maybe do that again :)
Stranger: How about you?
You: i guess, you dont need my "ASL" stuff, right?
Stranger: Only if you want to give it away
You: me? just wanna chat with random strangers.
You: hmmm.. lets keep it a secret
You: for now
Stranger: Okay :D
Stranger: I've never really understood why you might want to know in first place.
You: i assume, if the opposite is the opposite of their sex, maybe they'll do some dirty-talk
Stranger: Yeah, but is it of any importance to know my country for example? Even for that sex-chat - I mean, as long as I'm able to write in English, does it matter where I come from?
Stranger: I thought about putting the gender in that "intro", but on the other hand... ppl who wanna do that stuff don't even need to know my gender :D
You: hmmmm maybe some of they are a racist, maybe?
You: you got the point
Stranger: I found some of them are or just like to act is if they were before they disconnect, and that's why I am not putting at anywhere :D
You: lets skip that criticize stuff
You: lets talk about what we are gonna talk beside that. will ya?
Stranger: Sure =D
Stranger: Have you had any great chats lately? It's amazingly "few" people here as it seems =) I was here in the middle of the night and it was like 17k strangers online...
You: first, i'd like to tell you that my english isn't that good. :D
You: second, yes, i had.
You: i had it about 2-3 months ago
You: that's why i kept coming to this site
Stranger: Wow, that's a long time. Haven't you been here recently?
You: how bout you?
You: hmmmm not too very often
Stranger: Well, I've "joined" the day before yesterday and immediately had two that went on for an hour or two
You: maybe twice a week or 2
You: whoaaa.. that's kewl
Stranger: And about your English: it's obviously enough to make me understand what you're about, that's enough :D
You: what did you talk about?
You: whoaaaa.. thank you. :)
Stranger: Uh, we talked about travelling and they asked me whether I know K-Pop o.O
You: lol. and then?
Stranger: They found it's a topic floating around everywhere here
Stranger: Hm, we talked about our jobs, compared our originin countries, compared our native languages, art skills, hobbies
Stranger: so well, what are your hobbies? =)
Stranger: originin - erm :D
You: whoaaaa.. that was kinda super-interesting topics!
Stranger: What did you talk about?
You: hmmmm.. just random stuff. goofing around.
You: and our life, of course.
You: shall we talk like that? :D
Stranger: hehe, well, I'll leave it up to you to choose the topic
You: okay then..
You: do you mind if we introduce ourself first?
Stranger: No, go ahead if you don't mind either
You: who wanna first?
You: me or you?
Stranger: You, you asked, so you can be the first =P
You: haha let's flip a coin
You: tail or head?
Stranger: Head, but I'll flip a coin, too
You: hahaha you know my cheat trick, right? :D
You: okay. me do first.
Stranger: yup, my coin shows tail anyway hehe
You: lol. my name is Faldian. usually called Paldi, because of my local accent changed the F sounds to P.
You: i came from Bandung, West Java - Indonesia.
You: i'm 26 years old.
You: how about you?
You: oh yeah.. and i'm a male. and straight. :D
Stranger: Let me also put a question here: You said you "came" from Bandung - where are you now?
Stranger: My name is Chris
Stranger: I come from Germany and I'm 20 years old straight male^^
You: ah! my bad. i live in Bandung.
Stranger: Ah okay :)
You: and i came from the same city
Stranger: Nice to talk to you Paldi :D
You: nice to talk with you to, Chris. :D
You: so, what's your hobbies?
Stranger: I'm programming all the time :D
You: whoaaaa... that's kewl
You: dont say that you are a founder of facebook and skynet
You: *skynet, the villain from the terminator
Stranger: Haha, lol, no :D
You: so.. what did you programing?
Stranger: I've made several small tools to handle unimportant issues, or automatize my daily life :D
You: such as? gimme some example.
Stranger: I've written a tool to fix a common issue in the Weather Gadget of the Windows Vista sidebar.
You: whoaa.. it's kinda difficult, isn't it?
Stranger: Well, it's more difficult to say what's difficult or not. I'm quite good at programming so I don't see anything as very "difficult", maybe just very complicated to achive
You: i see. well, that thing you do, kinda difficult for me. never understand that command prompt stuffs. -__-"
Stranger: Hehe, I rarely use command prompt stuff :D
You: what did you use?
Stranger: I use actual programming languages
Stranger: I write programs with an development environment, it's quite easy once you understand the syntax of a language
You: darn.. i dont really understand. i wish i could understand what are you doing. i just know how to use it from my sidebar. lol
Stranger: well, you know what's ironical?
Stranger: The programming language I most recently learned is called "Java" after the island :D
You: my laaaaaand!
You: that was my land!
You: let me guess,
You: and you dont know where's the "java" is. right?
Stranger: It's in the indonesian ocean, near sumatra, northern of Australia or Southern of Japan, isn't it?
You: lol. you right.
You: *you are right.
You: wait wait wait.. did you learn some Javanese language?
Stranger: No :D It's just the name of the programming language, which, however, is English
Stranger: But I know your country is "famous" for the Java coffee beans
You: yeah. and heard a story, that the founder of "java" program is a big fan of java coffee beans
You: *and i heard ...
Stranger: This could very well be true... Its "logo" is a coffee cup :)
Stranger: And it's also a very popular programming language :)
You: and you know what
You: even my land is called java, west java didn't use javanese local language
You: west java use language called sunda
You: and it's totally different from javanese
You: but we're on the same land
You: get it?
Stranger: Sure :)
You: fiuh~ i really glad if i talk in english and people understand what i'm talking about
You: we don't use english so often here
Stranger: If I'm correct, Java is a quite wide island, isn't it?
You: not too wide, actually
Stranger: narrow but wide to the West and the East
You: java is smaller than sumatra, kalimantan (or maybe reknown as borneo) or papua
Stranger: Well, but I think many people know that Java is an island, too, in Germany
You: it is.
You: in Indonesia, we have a lot of islands
You: the books said, that we have more than 13.000 island
Stranger: I think, in Germany, Java is mabye even better known than Papua
You: java, sumatra, kalimantan (or borneo), sulawesi and papua is the big 5
You: yes. papua is too native for known.
Stranger: Yeah, Java is in a hotspot of vulcanism, isn't it?
Stranger: Well I know Papua
Stranger: but only the German name, not sure how it's written in English
You: neither do i. lol
Stranger: It's likely similar named
You: all i know, the only islands that name changed are java and borneo
You: borneo is kalimantan
You: and java is jawa
Stranger: We only know "Java" and "Borneo" in Germany, I'm sure :D
Stranger: at least that's the only two names I know :D
You: but, when you talk about "Jawa" in english, it's like you're talking about Star Wars.
Stranger: lol :D Didn't see Star Wars
You: you should see it
You: kinda epic, for me. :D
Stranger: I'm not knowing about the Java region however. Do you know anything about Germany, where it is, how big it is?
Stranger: Haha, I'm not that much into scifi
You: well.. i have a friend that came from Germany.
You: her name is Maren Kempken.
Stranger: Yeah, that sounds pretty German :D
You: she came here about 3-4 years ago
You: she came as a special student for my college
Stranger: cool =)
You: yeah. but she's kinda big for us
You: you know.. we, Indonesia, are small people
Stranger: what do you mean? Tall or "heavy"?
Stranger: ah, tall
You: i mean, tall and heavy.
Stranger: oh :D
You: no offense
You: but she's quite a big girl
Stranger: well, I'm tall, too
Stranger: very tall
You: what's your height?
Stranger: Do you use meters or feet?
Stranger: okay, I'm 2.01m tall
You: OMG! that's tall!
You: i'm only 1.66m tall
Stranger: is that tall or normal or small for West-Java?
You: maybe, i will be recognize as a kindergarten student when i come to Germany
You: me? i'm small here.
You: but my gf is smaller than me. :D
You: can you imagine that if we meet?
Stranger: did you know "Kindergarten" is a German loan word? There's no real "English" word for "Kindergarten", so they use the German word :D
Stranger: yes :)
You: all i know, English is an adaptive language
You: same as mine
Stranger: I can well imagine that your girlfriend is smaller than you
Stranger: But I don't think we'll meet. Do you have any clue how many people there are in Germany?
You: as much as the watchers of Bayern Muenchen?
Stranger: you mean in the stadium?
You: yes and no
You: yes, in the stadium
You: no, i mean the fans
Stranger: there are 66.000 fans in the stadium
Stranger: And Germany is 81.000.000 inhabitant ;D
You: it's like looking for a needle in an ocean
Stranger: Right :D
You: by the way, where did you come from?
You: i have a cousin in Essen
You: he work there
Stranger: uh, Essen is quite near compared to where he could be...
You: i dont know the details
You: but i'm pretty sure he is there. some place. lol
You: oh! i have a lecturer who take a college in Germany too
You: no. there are 2 lecturer.
Stranger: Well, as I read, Java has far more inhabitants than Germany...
You: seems like Germany kinda familiar to me now. lol
You: hahaha now you know the facts. :D
Stranger: it says Java has 132.000.000 inhabitants, and Jawa Barat (that's how they say West-Java is natively called) also has 43.000.000 inhabitants, thus a bit more than half as many
You: yes. indeed. and you know why?
Stranger: I guess because you've got many children there?
You: hahaha noooooo
Stranger: Hehe, then tell me why
You: because, Jawa Barat (or should we call West-Java?) is the nearest province from Jakarta. the capital city.
You: here, the city development, didn't go well.
Stranger: haha, so it's like all the "overflow" from Jakarta is in West-Java now?
You: in West Java, not really. but in Jakarta, yes. very f-ing yes. lol
Stranger: I've got a co-worker who is from Indonesia
Stranger: Yes. He's a very funny guy :D
You: haha good for you. send my regard to him.
Stranger: And well informed about Jakarta. He says the city is near collapsing and that it's faster to go by feet than by car because it's like stop and go everywhere only close to Jakarta City
Stranger: Haha, he's sick at the moment but I certainly will greet him
You: yes! in Jakarta, i guess the traffic jam is the breakfast for the people who lived there. lol
Stranger: Haha, where I live, you can stand in the middle of the road for minutes without seeing a car
You: what time is now in Germany? can you do that now? for me? lol
Stranger: Hehe, it's about 22:40 (that is 10:40 pm if you use that time scheme, I don't know)
You: i understand both. :)
Stranger: and I'm pretty sure I could walk out and stand there for a while in front of the house I live in
You: please, do that for me someday.
Stranger: Hehe :D
Stranger: Okay :D
You: and i will do the same thing for you too
You: when i acrossing the street, of course
Stranger: But not in Jakarta, you'll be overrun =O
You: noooooo.. i will be a dead-guy if i do that. :O
Stranger: that's what I said. What do you do as a hobby?
You: hmmmm.. i'm in a band. and i draw some stuffs.
Stranger: What do you draw, and which medium?
You: i do draw at computer oftenly
You: when i do the hand-drawn, i usually use some A4 paper.
You: just a plain white paper
Stranger: do you draw landscapes, persons, or abstract stuff?
You: sometimes i draw at my notebook
You: hmmmm.. quite variety
You: sometimes i draw myself, my friends, things, monsters or just doodling around
You: and that's what i do for living
You: i work for a clothing line company
You: a small clothing company
You: why i choose small? because we're not as big as adidas or volcom, and our target audiences are kids/children
Stranger: I don't know volcom...
You: it's okay
You: maybe you can check my blog later
You: to see my drawing
You: not too good, but i kinda love it
You: are you there?
Stranger: yep sorry
Stranger: I'm also writing an urgent E-Mail
You: its okay
Stranger: what's the link to the blog?
You: just to make sure this site isn't disconnect
Stranger: this looks like Paint.NET
You: kinda. :D
Stranger: wow you're skilled
You: you know what, i really love using MS Paint for drawing
You: hahaha not really
Stranger: This is not MS Paint :D
Stranger: MS Paint has no transparency :D
You: darn! you know the secret now. :D
Stranger: but Paint.NET has :D
Stranger: but it isn't Paint.NET
You: but, some drawing i use MS Paint
Stranger: the canvas of paint.net has an equally distributred shadow
You: okay okay okay
Stranger: it might be photoshop or inkscape or gimp or corel or something
You: you are a programmer. and you will know it somehow.
You: i can't lie
Stranger: I only compare :D
You: haha yes. i use Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw
You: but.. how about this? http://paldipaldi.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=288#/d1bbt4f
Stranger: hehe, cool :D
You: what tool i have use for that? can you guess?
Stranger: hm, no opacity, no anti aliasing, it looks like it was done in MS Paint
You: darn! you're right. lol
You: hahaha so.. that was my recent works.
You: thanks for your attention.
Stranger: they're cool
Stranger: yes, indeed
You: hahaha thanks a lot
Stranger: what is all that babybones about?
You: babybones is the company that i worked for
You: babybones is the name of our brand
Stranger: you do fonts'
You: some of it, yes.
You: and i do it some times
You: not too oftenly
You: it depends on my mood
Stranger: I'm sorry but I could imagine selling those images as really worthy artworks
Stranger: something like this http://paldipaldi.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d4et9j9
Stranger: it could very well be in a art galery in Germany
You: god! i really want to work in other country!
You: here, people dont apreciate art/design much
You: that draw, is useless
Stranger: Hehe, well, it's hard to get to a point where people really pay money for art, you know
You: no pay for that
Stranger: but I think if you come here and act like you'd already be a great artist...
Stranger: see, that picture is a perfect combination of abstraction and detail-work
You: well thank you. i really flattered. :D
You: for your information, i really love do the details.
Stranger: there's that copier, and the sketch of people... I'm really impressed
You: hahahahaha well, it costs 500 euro. special price for you. lol
Stranger: I think I am the wrong person, I'm not that much into arts
You: i'm kidding. :D
Stranger: But all that circle decoration on the floor, like there's a dimension but on the other hand there's not. I'm really stunned by that special picture
Stranger: you should become a designer
You: as i told, that draw is useless. no pay for that. i'm really sad for it.
You: haha well.. actually, i graduated as a designer. :D
You: i really appreciate your likeness for my drawing
You: thanks again. a lot.
Stranger: I'd maybe give you 80000 Rupiah for that drawing. I don't know if that's much for art in Indonesia
You: too cheap. i already price it for 100k Rupiah.
You: and it can categorize cheap for an artwork like that. here. :D
You: my friends, who do the draw too, usually put a minimum price at 250K Rupiah for his drawing
You: well.. i'm not well known yet. so, my price is still cheaper than his.
Stranger: ah, well, that's already a lot for a started price of such sketches :D
You: oh. no. not only a sketches. he usually do MORE details and MORE fine than mine
You: as you see, my line isn't perfect.
Stranger: you should sell that as "your style"
You: but all my friend's told me, "that is your style"
You: ahahaha yes. indeed. :D
Stranger: Well I'm also not an artslover as I said, so to me artworks mustn't be expensive if I want to buy it
Stranger: I don't know if it's a good idea to tell you how much I earn monthly
You: it's okay.
You: i'm an open-minded person. :D
Stranger: you'd maybe be mad at me for my "low" offer, but as I said, it's because I don't really "invest" a lot into art and deco stuff
You: hahaha it's okay. really. :)
You: 10K Rupiah is as same as 1 Euro
Stranger: I know. I use Google to convert it
Stranger: I monthly earn a bit more than 6.2 million Rupiah after taxes
Stranger: that's a very low wage here
Stranger: I'm only a student
You: i only get 1.5 -2.5 million Rupiah. and i'm a graduated student.
You: that's the lowest fee here
Stranger: I'm sure things are a lot cheaper in Indonesia as well though
Stranger: Name me some prices of things you can buy, for example, so we can compare
You: hmmmm.. i buy a pair of shoe for 150K - 250K. that was cheap.
Stranger: How much is a Big Mac in Indonesia for example?
You: how bout you?
You: Big Mac is 30K - 35K Rupiah. im not sure.
You: how much in Germany?
Stranger: wait, I'm searching
You: for 41K, i can spend a lot of cheaper food here.
You: maybe i can spend it for 4-5 days.
Stranger: you can't do that here^^
You: indeed. lol
Stranger: a usual diner in a restaurant is about 91k Rupiah
You: for a person only?
Stranger: yes, per person
Stranger: that's already cheap
You: that's quite expensive for us
Stranger: I know
You: only rich people do that for daily
You: i see.. i see..
Stranger: today, I spent 18k rupiah for my lunch
Stranger: how much does a 1l bottle of coca cola cost?
You: 1 litre? im not sure. maybe 5K only
You: or less
You: how much in Germany?
Stranger: 6600 to 28000 depends on where you live
You: i really stunned when i saw the 28000
Stranger: the smallest coin we have is worth 121 rupiah
You: the smallest coin we have is 100 rupiah
You: sometimes, in our country, the price is start from 100
Stranger: you get more, but you also have to pay more here... :D
You: yes. i see. i get it now.
You: well.. before i forget..
You: you can have my "Office Hours" drawing
You: for free
Stranger: oh thank you :)
You: just click it, and save image as "you named it"
You: you can print it or else
You: or maybe, if you want to sell it in Germany as a poster, i'll send you the masterfile
You: or maybe the large version from it
You: just because you love it
Stranger: I've copied the graphic
Stranger: saving as JPEG is lossy
Stranger: you should save your prints in PNG
You: naaaah.. it's fine for me
